The Bondaroo is an incredibly soft and comfortable kangaroo care shirt

We created the Bondaroo to keep dads a part of the Active Bonding process. It was a labor of love based on our own personal experience of bonding with my newborn. We felt the benefits of skin-to-skin bonding were critical to the healthy development of our child and decided to create the Bondaroo so other dads could experience it too.

Kangaroo Care Benefits Dad & Baby

Kangaroo care has been shown to result in better outcomes regarding heart rates, breathing patterns, cerebral and body oxygenation, metabolism, temperature control, growth, and weight gain when compared to traditional neonatal care (Anderzen-Carlsson, Lamy, Tingvall, & Erikson, 2014).

Why the Bondaroo?

Why the Bondaroo?

DadWare defines “active bonding” as a continuous process during which the child creates an attachment through affectionate parenting behaviors, including but not limited to, close body contact, a soft and soothing vocal tone, the expression of positive facial affects, eye gazes, affectionate touch, newborn massage, and other nurturing acts.
